Citizens Express Array of Concerns During Protest

Some organizers of Saturday’s concerned Iowans’ protest in Carroll thought beforehand that 25 to 50 would be a good turnout, while others said as many as 100 was possible.
But many more people than they thought were ready to make their concerns known.
But despite chilly, windy weather, for about 1½ hours — noon to 1:30 — approximately 150 walked along the south side of Highway 30 between Carroll and West Streets, holding signs and participating in different chants.
